Olive Oil

The King of Oils.

Olive oil is a liquid fat received from olives, a conventional tree crop of the Mediterranean Basin. The oil is produced by means of pressing complete olives. It is usually used in cooking, for frying ingredients or as a salad dressing.

Without heating, olive oil is used to season uncooked and cooked vegetables, meat, potatoes, grains, pasta, and cheese dishes. Olive oil is one of the fundamental ingredients in pestos, and other Mediterranean spreads. You also can make herb- or spice-infused oil with the aid of putting dried herbs or spices in olive oil (in a sealed container) for a few weeks.
